Founder, Sheila Washington

An introduction to the unique and wonderful Sheila Washington, a Proverbs 31 Woman.

She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, attending elementary, middle school, and high school. Upon graduating, she attended California State University Northridge (CSUN), where she excelled in studying radio, television and film production. Sheila has always had a passion for sports and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Sheila began her lucrative career while attending CSUN, as an intern for radio station KJLH 102.3 FM, owned by icon Stevie Wonder. She became a sports field reporter and co-producer of the hourly news and sports segments. This endeavor transported Sheila into the and onto the courts, fields, and tracks of Southern California’s pro teams; The Lakers, The Clippers, The Los Angeles Raiders, The San Diego Chargers, The Angels, The Dodgers, and covering the 1984 Summer Olympics.

Sheila has experienced and enjoyed a Ten+ Bucket List! She has lived in; Dallas 2X, Chicago, Washington DC, Atlanta, Las Vegas 3X, traveled to; England 3X, France, Italy, Mexico, China, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 2016 Summer Olympics, attended the 2019 Masters in Augusta, to watch Tiger Woods win his 5th championship. She has attended every Super Bowl for the past twenty plus years, as well as enjoying the Islands of Hawaii, numerous times while attending the Pro Bowl Game.

During her twenty years employment in the sports broadcasting industry, she was employed by BET; West Coast Sports Producer, KCAL, CBS, and NBC networks. In 1996, she was the NBC Talent Coordinator for the Summer Olympics, which was held in Atlanta, Georgia. For four (4) years, she travelled with the Los Angeles Raiders during Football Season as a Team Reporter. She was acting Vice

President of the Los Angeles Summer Pro League held at Loyola Marymount. Sheila, has coordinated and facilitated many celebrity golf tournaments, non-profit charitable events, and community health fairs. For years, Sheila has contributed her talent and skills as a fitness coach to the American Heart Association, Diabetes Treatment Center, The First Tee Golfers, Mothers of Professional Basketball Players Organization, and First Lady Michelle Obama’s fitness challenge, “Let’s Move Los Angeles.” Towards the end of the second decade of the twenty-first century, Sheila hosted and implemented a segment of “Pumping and Praising,” on the top morning urban radio station in Las Vegas. She also worked for the Associated Press, while residing Washington DC, and in 2018 she earned the title of #1 Sales Representative for Action Line at the Hilton Grand Vacations Sales Executive Team in Las Vegas.

Sheila’s interest and influence for others regarding their awareness and diligence towards their health was the result of her mother and father transiting early in their adulthood from cancer and diabetes. Her philanthropic projects include “Sheila and Friends Annual Thanksgiving Food Giveaway,” and other donating ventures.

Sheila, is a Certified Corporate International Wellness Trainer. She was also certified as a Zumba Instructor in the luxurious city of Dubai, UAE. Sheila, has authored four (4) successful motivational books; Workplace Wellness, Pumping and Praising, Women’s Wellness, and Men’s Golf Wellness.

Sheila is surrounded by love and support from family, friends, co-workers, and associates. This is a result of the love and support she constantly yields and extends to everyone that enters into her flourishing environment...Sheila is an encourager, a motivator, an up lifter, and a source of the glass always being half filled...

Sheila’s Motto is “Work Hard, Praise Hard, Pray Hard, and Play Hard,” as we live a Godly Abundant Life, bestowed upon His Children... You can often observe Sheila praying for someone and or witnessing the Goodness of God, and or leading someone to receive God’s Salvation...

Entering into the next phase of her journey in life, Sheila has founded and created Golfing Queen, Incorporated, whose mission is to collectively bring women from all backgrounds to join together with the one denominator; their love of playing the game of golf surrounded by God’s Love.
